Willie, on the Silver Screen...

In addition to the films listed below, Bill Irwin also enjoyed some success in television performances, including the following: Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show, The Cosby Show, HBO's Bette Midler, Mondo Beyondo, and PBS's Great Performances 20th Anniversary. In England, he appeared on the Paul Daniels Magic Show.

As a recurring character on the TV series, Northern Exposure. Irwin played the Flying Man, the mostly-silent circus performer who wanted to be Marilyn's boyfriend. He made occasional appearances on Sesame Street (in late 90's) as "Mr. Noodle" (a resident of "Elmo's World"). One source described him as "...the children's favorite, Mr. Noodle." (And one unverified report notes that Bill was employed to be the motion model--in black tights and LEDs taped all over--for the mouse character in "Stuart Little [1]".)

The table below details his cinematic appearances, with the most recent role being listed at the top.
